The footage has been put on the the computer, the music is almost ready and every thing looks and sounds in order.
We decided to add an extra scene to the end of the car door openning. In this scene Dan, (method actor that he is), was pictured slumped dead against the toilet wall. It started from a close up of the moblie phone and then slowley panned out to reveal Dans dead body, which was very effective to say the least. We are currently debating whether or not to put any more footage on.

Advances with the music
We are still developing the non-diagetic sound to try and make it diagetic, which is a simple process of turning it down. Me and Alex made the first cut of the sound, which was dubbed, "Gangster Flick of Noir". This consisted of a simple jazz gingle we found and then chronically abused for most of the scene.
When Alex was away i tried to experiment with bass and beats to make a more original. This did not go particularly well and i ended up making something that sounded like the song, "Take my Breath Away". Don't judge me it was an accident.

Oh, its ok now.....
we took a shot of Alex, which we had already taken, of him bending down to take a shot and then we just reversed it to make it look like it was a separate shot. We are as the say, "making do". It is very convincing and no one has spotted it yet. We are still deciding what to do with the premature ending to the scene.
FURTHER DISARSTERS!!!!!!!!!!!
Alex has a show week and we can't take the cameras out and we cant get more shots of him in the ally way with the Peugeot and of him on the pool table. We can't take the camera out either before the filming deadline.
DISARSTER!!!!!!!!!!
we were short of a few shots and the deadline is looming!!!!!!! We need to think of something we can do to cover the lack of shots of Alex on the pool table.
the cambridge bar......bit.......
Dan managed to score a slot to shoot at the Cambridge United bar out side the stadium on Newmarket Road. This was a tremendous boon for us as we managed to create the action shots of the pool table and the dialogue. We had a few problems with the sound, as there was a football match on at the same time but that can be sorted during editing.
The out side shots were tricky, but the lighting gave a perfect 'noir' eel to the film, and the end part were Ed is walking down the ally to the Pergeout, (which we luckily managed to acquire), was sublime. All in all a fantastic day of shooting.

doing the music
We started off with a rough idea of what we wanted, which was a sort of jazz tune underlining the scene. we tried a few guitars and piano effects but we did not find anything that would have set the mood.

sound effects and voice overs!
as a group we decided that it would be a good idea to instead of keeping the orginal sound and speech we duded in voice overs and the speech and added in sound effect such as simple thinks like footsteps and cars pass by, but also things like a background bar soundtrack that we created in garage band.
film in the toilets
this was were we first took our first few shots of the film clip to avoid confusion at the Cambridge bar place. we recruited a friend called Oli to play the hooded purple man. we experimented with a few different styles of cinematography and we decided to use an action shot where Oli strangles Dan. this is very effective in the scene because it erupts the pace of the scene but does not detract from the plot.

END
Kev, Joe, Bills and Mucker
Kev- Alex:
Not so much a dominant character but a clear older leader figure. An obvious past and with a cool exterior makes him the most interesting character in the crew.
Joe- Cleve:
An entrepreneur-like character with a desire to one day reach the top of the group of men. A typical londoner much like Tommy in Guy Richie's "Snatch".
Bill- Dan:
In the scene shown he is not a main character at all but this does not mean he is insignificant. He is emotionally attached to the others like brothers, as they are of him and although he does not have a clear trait, he earned his place with loyalty and he brains of the crew.
Mucker- Ed:
The odd one out, the rebellion in many ways, he understands hat he does for a living but questions everything, but never out loud. His facial expressions clearly show he has a history too and he is unaware that he is most likely to fill the shoes of Kev, if they ever needed filling.
